A bunch of animals

Over Spring Break, I rounded up a group of friends to go to the Bayou Wildlife Zoo.  The place is crazy.  Just driving it, my vehicle was accosted by llamas, a zebra, and some ostriches.  Once I finally navigated through all of those animals and parked, we were all given bowls of feed, loaded up on a tram, and pulled through the park. It was so much fun.

They also offered free pony rides and a little petting zoo.  Even though it was an hours drive, it was definitely worth it.

I guess we didn't get enough of our animal fix because last weekend we went to the Zoo.  Our realtor group rented out the place after hours.  It was awesome being able to explore the zoo without the normal crowds or the heat of the day.

It's baseball season, y'all!

This past weekend was so busy.  We spent a lot of time with family.  Tom's uncle and cousins were in town, my sister and her kids were in town, and we also had a friend's 40th birthday party.  In the midst of all of this, it was my community's opening parade and ceremonies for baseball season - always a huge deal.  The boys had to be at their floats at 7:30 am.

The parade started at 9:00.  It was really fun for the boys, especially Sam.  After ceremonies, Sam had a game.  T-ball is so cute to watch.  Tom had a meet, so he missed all the fun.

In the evening, all the younger cousins spent the night at my house and the older cousin's spent the night at Rosie's.  Everyone was pretty tired at church on Sunday, but they kids had such a great time with their cousins.

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo 2019

Last night, Dianna and I took our daughters to the rodeo - just like we have every year since 2014.  Luke Bryan was performing.  I didn't now any of his songs, but I do know him from American Idol.  We were limited as to what day we could go since Dianna's family was only in town to close on their house.  I know it isn't practical to expect her and Kinleigh to fly back every year now that they live in North Carolina, but I am going to really miss this tradition.  It is something I look forward to each year.
