4th of July

School has been delayed a week due to Hurricane Harvey (a post in and of itself) so I finally have time to play blog catch-up.  This is how we spent our 4th of July...

The morning of the 4th, Tom, the kids and I walked a few blocks over to watch the neighborhood parade.  It's always exciting to have candy and junk thrown at you.

In the afternoon, Tom made macaroni and cheese stuffed burgers for the kids and blue cheese and bacon stuffed burgers for us. They were delicious.

Then, of course, the necessary evil...fireworks.  I stayed out for as long as I could stand and then retreated back into the house while the kids literally played with fire.
